Hidden pump installation

Just wanted a cleaner look and as a bonus get a silent pump setup

How big does it need to be?.

Small pieces 28x30mm , inner radius of 250mm.

The filter, 250mm outer 200mm inner radius

Cut the filter.

First of all the aquarium needs to be drained.

After acetone cleaning dotted line is added to mark the radius.

A pair of endstops installed, glued in place with aquarium
silicone.

Added top piece left and all the squares.
-not exactly as CAD simulation, but good enough.

All glued and looks ok.

filter block neede edges trimmed to have them flush.

Pump is a 1000l/h generic from ebay.

Poke hole for pump.

Looks ok.

After letting the aquarium run for a couple of weeks, fish was introduced.

looks nice, very silent.
